How it started.

We met at our corporate job, working on the same team. Anna in Los Angeles, Helene in New York — both a little obsessed with our morning cup of joe in all its forms: cappuccino, latte, cortado, and everything in between.

Where was a simple, high-quality vanilla syrup? Why couldn’t we find one at any grocery store? And why did every syrup on the market have an ingredient list that felt like we were studying for a chemistry exam?

So we became the vanilla girls — and Miss Joe was born.
